There’s something about first day of fall. It signals the beginning of change as we slip into a new season. You can start to feel it as crispness enters the air and cool temperatures begin to show themselves. While subtle, the change of the season becomes more imminent. Leaf colors transform into beautiful bursts of reds, oranges, and yellows. Mums and pumpkins noticeably appear outside store fronts and neighbors’ front doors with porch leaners reading “Happy Fall Y’all”. Autumn always brings a level of joy that almost feels too difficult to explain and adds a glimmer to the air. It’s the season for football & cool nights on the back porch, for pumpkin spice anything and the sweet smell of cinnamon lingering throughout the house, or for getting cozy on the couch and low glows of fall scented candles burning. Above all, it’s the season that we really start to appreciate the beauty in change and the world around us.
For me, I will always have a love for the first day of fall because it welcomes in my favorite season and brings an affinity I have for this time of year. There are countless activities I’d like to experience, recipes I wanted to try, and projects I’m itching to complete. In the spirit of the season, I intend to tackle some of these items on my autumn bucket list as I romanticize my ideal fall season. So, here’s to all the adventures and memories I hope to create. Thank you for following me into a new season, and I’m thrilled to share my KAYLA & CO. LIVING fall projects, recipes, and destinations. Stay tuned and for plenty of seasonal decorating tips, my favorite fall foods, and a trip or two to celebrate this beautiful season!
